He was telling me that we would have to tahe the whole dash off to get to the radio its an aftermarket head unit. Is there any easier way to get to the back of the head unit to hook up the RCA’s and Remote wire? Are we going to have to take off the whole dash? Thanks for any info on theis topic! Any web pages with addition help are also welcome! He may have to go back to the installing dealer to get them. DDFresh Originally posted by thewoahna radio its an aftermarket head unit. It is pretty easy because it is a aftermarket head unit. Like Tireburner said, All you have to do is get the keys for the deck they look like two little flat rods and slip them into the head unit. Then just pull at the same time and it should slide right out.
Help With My Hook Up ( 3 subs to a 4 channel amp)
View WillK’s Album Ok, this sounds a lot like part of my project but I’m using an 8 space load panel where I’m using a 20 space panel And using smaller cable, I’ll get to that. First of all, it looks like you’ve probably got Square D Homeline? Just wanted to check because they have 2 lines, one is Homeline and the other is QO. I’m using a Homeline panel so if that’s what you have then I can refer to my own stuff.
Also, I saw they have 8 space main lug and main breaker, this needs to be main breaker so you have a main shutoff in the garage.

Sometimes the amp itself really is at fault. Here are a few common problems and what can be done to troubleshoot, as well as fix them my fixes are the most common. They are not definitive in any way. Your amplifier could have a completley different problem, though it is unlikely: Amplifier does not turn on. Rule number one in amplifier hook up is to make sure the amplfier has a good ground.
This means that it is secured to bare metal that is clean, rust-free, and tight. Is the remote wire hooked up? After that point, if the problem still exists, you’re probably looking at bad parts in the PSU power supply unit. The majority of the time, it’s because mosfets are blown. It is never a bad idea to try hooking up the amplifier in a different car or taking it in to be tested just to be sure.

Contact Us Improving Stereo Performance of a Surround Sound Setup — Part 1 I hear and read of numerous reports from people with surround sound systems, that are not performing as well as desired for stereo music playback. Some are people who sold their old stereo setup, jumped on the surround sound band wagon, and now miss the musical qualities of their previous system. Others have started out with a surround sound system, but underestimated how much music they play and now find their system lacking in this department.
In both cases, people have fallen for the marketing hype that more channels is better, 5.

The only thing that might be annoying, depending on your OS and your amp, is the fact that you’ll have to constantly fiddle with 2 different volume controls. For instance, you might have to crank up the volume out to your computer speakers to make them audible, but the same volume going to your amp could rumble the house–so you then have to either turn down the computer volume, or turn down the amp.
There are a few possible workarounds for this problem, though: Some amps save a separate volume for each input. Windows Vista and probably Windows 7 has independent volume controls for each app. If you have Vista or Win7, you can just use a different music player when you want to play music through your stereo system. You can also get 3. If you get a lot of hiss using a stereo splitter, you might want to turn down the volume on your computer and let your large amp do the work.

Do you want to be able to independently control the volume in each of the 9 rooms – or can they be paired such as 2 rooms with one volume, 3 rooms with another volume etc. Each area you want independent volume control of and also can chose different audio in each as well would be a zone. So how many zones then do you want. Each zone would then need its own Sonos unit. I’m sure if you give more info on how you would like it setup zone wise someone can give you best recommendations for setup.

You can hook up a car amp to a battery charger inside your house and use it as a glorified power source for varied needs. Snip about inches of blue wire, leave the metal strips at each end bare; cut away the rubbery portions. Hook one end of this to the 12V node. Hook the other end to the REM node, sitting adjacent. Take the battery charger in hand now; this is your power supply source. Hook the red positive terminal to the same 12V node you just worked with. Take the black negative terminal and hook it up to the grounder node on the car amp.
They may be very close to each other, so make extra certain that they do not touch and that there is a noticeable gap between them. Set the charger to 12 volts. Plug the charger in and turn it on. The car amp will register the same with an indication light or some such feature. Your speaker system will have thin wires, red and black, with each end probably shaped like a two-pronged metal element.
Use your pliers and know-how on these wires to smush or push things firmly in place. Fix the red and black nodes to apt points on the car amp, leading up from the speaker system.

This is not a liability at all as the B is one of the best sounding tubes ever produced. Even if you have highest efficiency speakers, the golden tone of the B tube and extra headroom it provides, are still the safest bet for DHT amplifier success with the most kinds of speakers, especially if they are not horn types. Push- pull B amplification offers the highest output power level of any of the above configurations up to 40 watts per channel or more in some circuits!

Amps for practice and home use You might want a small acoustic guitar amp around the house for your practice sessions, especially if you tend to play quietly with other acoustic instruments. Sure, in your own home you can hear your guitar without amplifying it, however projecting your performance through a speaker can help you listen more critically while you play.
Some practice amps, like the Acoustic A20 , have a stage monitor-style design that angles the speaker upward so you can direct it toward you while you play. Its modest 20W power rating may also be adequate for very small-venue gigs. With two combo jacks that accept both mics and instrument inputs plus digital chorus and reverb effects, it offers a lot of functionality for a small price. The Acoustic A20 uses an angled design for better monitoring during your practice sessions.
Some amps offer built-in effects such as chorus and reverb, that can add some shimmer and drama to your sound. The watt, ultra-portable Fender Acoustasonic 15 , for example, features a quality on-board chorus effect that you can dial in to your specific preference. It also has 3-band EQ on both channels to help you fine-tune your sound.
The Fender Acoustasonic is an ultra-portable practice amplifier with two channels, a mic input and onboard chorus effect. Amps made for practice are usually priced lower than models intended for performance. They typically produce 10 to 40 watts of power, which gives them the right amount of volume for the living room, though probably not quite enough for a coffeehouse or a small club. Most often they will be configured with a single 6- to 8-inch speaker and also may include a coaxial tweeter for high frequencies.

When was the last time you had anything hooked up to the tape monitors? If you are like me you ditched your cassette deck years ago It would not have occurred to me to attempt to connect the Little Dot to the headphone jack of the Yamaha, but in theory that should work no differently than connecting to the headphone jack of your iPad note it would be better to access a line out signal from your iPad via some sort of docking device.
Sounds like the Yamaha’s headphone circuit may be shot.

I RV was kind enough to include one in the start-up kit they furnished. They cost a minimal amount, are a necessity and in our case was furnished by the dealer. Dog Bone Adapter lets you hook up to 15 amp outlets. Weatherproof jacket encloses 10 gauge, 3 wire cord for safe, free-flowing AC power. Molded plug and socket. Three insulated 6-gauge copper conductors and one insulated 8-gauge copper conductor are enclosed in a weatherproof outer jacket that resists oil, grease and ozone.
Won’t crack or become brittle and remains flexible below freezing temperatures. Jacket rated at V. Extra Heavy-duty 50 amp Power Cord If your going to run the full 50 AMP service and expect to be some distance from the source you’ll need this. Otherwise I would suggest that you not purchase one. If the service is that far away then you might want to repark your RV.
